pebble and vibrato

The pebble dropped directly into a pool of water emanates a calculable pattern of large waves from the core.  However, the pebble that skips across a pool creates smaller waves at each encounter with the water that intersect with each other, eventually covering the entire body of water with smaller and more complex currents.  Those waves glisten with the reflection of the sun at specific points.  Thus, smaller waves in larger number form a complex shimmer across the pool that captivates the observer’s attention. Likewise, the sound of the flute should always be nurtured with a subtle vibrato that creates smaller and more complex sound waves that in turn intersect with each other, filling the entire concert hall with a shimmer that captivates and stirs the audience.
